We have a winner in my 2024 Christmas Card Design Competition – and it’s an absolute cracker.
Imogen Cundick, 15, is a student at Manor Academy and submitted the winning design featuring a lovely image of a reindeer on a brown background.
Each festive season I ask schoolchildren from across the constituency to turn their hand at designing my official Christmas card, carrying on a tradition of my predecessor Kate Green.
The winning design is used on Christmas cards that I send out each year to hundreds of people across Stretford & Urmston.
I presented Imogen with her prize at a special assembly on December 13 – in front of her mother Suzanne, her classmates, teachers, and local councillor Keleigh Glenton.
This design was stunning and could easily be a professional job – which is a testament to Imogen’s talent.
Imogen wants to be a set-designer when she leaves school and clearly has a bright future ahead of her.
We launched the competition at Barton Clough Primary School in Stretford on October 18 and the response has been phenomenal.
We had more than 550 entries from across Stretford & Urmston in total.
Alongside Imogen, there were four Runners-Up and another six which were Highly Commended by the judging team in my constituency office.
But there was so many brilliant entries and I would like to congratulate everyone who sent their designs in to us.
I am also hugely grateful to Therme UK for sponsoring the competition for the second year in a row.
The design has now been printed and will go out to constituents across Stretford & Urmston in the coming days.
