Andrew Western, the MP for Stretford and Urmston, recently invited constituents to join him for a coffee morning at Greenfield Baptist and Congregational Church in Urmston.

The event gave residents the chance to meet their MP. Some of those that visited asked to meet Andrew again, for a more in-depth conversation, after chatting to him during the coffee morning.

This was the first time that Andrew has held a coffee morning at Greenfield Baptist and Congregational Church.

During the event, food items and money was collected for the local foodbank.

Andrew Western said: “I’d like to thank the team at Greenfield Baptist and Congregational Church for giving me the space to host my coffee morning. It was really well attended and gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of constituents that I’d never spoken to in person before.

“I’d also like to thank Councillor Shirley Procter, who kindly baked for the event. Her cakes are wonderful and were enjoyed by many.”
