Andrew Western, the MP for Stretford and Urmston, has launched his first ever Eid colouring-in competition and children across his constituency have been invited to take part.

It is the first time that Andrew has ran a creative competition for Eid and he’s urging as many children in the constituency as possible to join in.

Andrew has written to every school in Stretford and Urmston, inviting them to participate and he visited Seymour Park Community Primary School in Old Trafford to officially launch the competition.

Andrew said: “Following the success of my Christmas card competition, I wanted to do something to also mark Eid.

“I thought that it would be nice to launch a colouring-in competition, so that local children can show off their art skills. I know that we have lots of artistic children here in Stretford and Urmston, so I’m looking forward to seeing the designs that come in.”

The winning artwork will appear in Andrew’s Eid video message.  He will also send certificates to every child that enters the competition as a thank you.

All entries must be received by Friday 22 March.

Terms and conditions of competition:
Any child or young person living in Andrew’s constituency is welcome to take part.

Entries should be scanned and sent to andrew.western.mp@parliament.uk by no later than Friday 22 March 2024. Or, alternatively, you can post them to: Andrew Western MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.
