Small and local charities are very important, so Andrew Western was keen to show his support during ‘Small Charity Week’, by attending an event in Parliament.

Small Charity Week – which is taking place between 19-23 June – aims to celebrates and raises awareness of the essential work of the UK’s small charity sector. They make an invaluable contribution to the lives of millions of individuals, communities and causes across the UK and the rest of the world.

Andrew Western said: “I dropped into an event celebrating Small Charities Week, to thank the charities present for the work they do.

“There are so many excellent local organisations across Stretford and Urmston doing great work in the area, but of course at a national level it is often only the very large charities we hear from, so it was nice to recognise the work of smaller charities.

“This is also an important time to remind people to support their local charity, by offering donations, volunteering time, or help with fundraising.”
