Andrew Western, the MP for Stretford and Urmston, spoke to ARCO at an event in Parliament recently. ARCO represents integrated retirement communities, like Adlington House in Urmston.

This event was a chance to hear directly from residents, about how they find living in Integrated Retirement Communities. These communities tend to provide a combination of 24/7 support, gyms, restaurants and community activities. Care and support is also on hand if it is needed.

During the Arco event, Andrew also had the chance to speak to operators about how they’ve worked to reduce loneliness and to alleviate pressure on health and care services.

Andrew Western said: “It was great to speak to ARCO, which represents integrated retirement communities like Adlington House in Urmston. Labour wants to expand access to retirement communities so that older people have greater housing options.”
