Andrew Western, the MP for Stretford and Urmston, knows the importance of meeting his constituents. So when the MP was invited to a Trafford Veterans Breakfast at Flixton Cricket Club, he was happy to attend, as he knew it would give him the opportunity to chat to local Veterans.

Trafford Veterans is currently working in partnership with Sale United FC, to establish a Veterans Hub in Trafford. This Hub will be used as a place of support for the veterans and the emergency service community. People will be able to drop in for advice, activities, or just for some company. It will give local Veterans the opportunity to have a chat and a cup of tea and be with like-minded people.

Andrew Western said: “It was a pleasure to attend the Trafford Veterans Breakfast at Flixton Cricket Club. Trafford Veterans do great work supporting ex-service personnel and their families across Trafford and it was brilliant to see so many veterans come together and to hear first-hand just what an impact the organisation’s work is having.”

Trafford Veterans was set up in 2015, to provide peer support and outreach for those living in Trafford. The group organises a number of activities and it encourages people to share their hobbies and skills.
