Today is ‘Local Bike Shop Day’ and to mark the occasion, Stretford and Urmston MP, Andrew Western has spoken about one of his favourite local businesses – ‘That tiny bike shop’  in Flixton.

‘That tiny bike shop’ sells both new and used bikes and has a workshop for repairs. The shop is able to customers with everything from a top-of-the-range bikes, to a first bike for a child.

Andrew Western said: “It’s been a tough few years for local businesses, so I wanted use the opportunity of ‘Local Bike Shop Day’ to highlight a gem in Stretford and Urmston – ‘That tiny bike shop’ – which is on Carrington Road in Flixton.

A key Labour Party policy is to revitalise our high streets and support small businesses. We will cut business rates and energy bills, and revamp empty shops so our local high streets will grow, and existing businesses, like That tiny bike shop, will flourish.
