Andrew Western hosted a coffee morning for Stretford Foodbank, at Christ Church, in Davyhulme.

The event also gave constituents the chance to meet their MP, for an informal chat over coffee and cake. An open invite was given to constituents via Andrew Western’s social media channels.

The MP decided to use this as an opportunity to raise munch-needed funds for Stretford Foodbank. Both food donations and cash were accepted.

Andrew Western said: “We collected donations of both cash and food and I was stunned that the event was so well supported.

“I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended, and especially to Cllrs Karina Carter and Shirley Procter who baked for the occasion!”
